Recycling

For several years, there has been discussion of starting a recycling program in Huntington. However, it has been a challenge to find enough interested people and to find funding. However, through the efforts of local volunteers, the city and county, a grant was found, applied for, and won.

Cabell County’s first Drop-off Recycling Program began November, 2011. Recycle bins will be placed in lots throughout the county by the Solid Waste Authority, so that the public can save their recyclables and minimize our impact on landfills. Locations include:

  • Kroger Store, 1st Street and 7th Avenue (available after December 1st)
